Strategy
Ironhold Command
★★★★☆ 4.2
Ironhold Command asks you to build, defend, and expand, and it does all of it without the punishing timers a lot of mobile strategy leans on. You can play in short bursts or sink an hour into planning a defense layout, and both feel valid.
The interface is where it shines. Everything important sits within thumb reach, and dragging units around is precise even on a smaller phone. I never once tapped the wrong building by accident, which sounds like a low bar until you've played the competition.
It does lean on your battery during big battles with lots of units on screen. I got in the habit of playing planning phases anywhere and saving the big fights for when I was near a charger.
What we liked
- No aggressive real-time timers
- Thumb-friendly unit control
- Deep defensive layout planning
